Rebecca Gough was born in England and has spent many years in teaching and leadership positions in the Midlands, before relocating to Qatar in 2012.
Having always been passionate about sport and math, Rebecca secured a place at Loughborough University and graduated with a BSc Joint Honours in Physical Education, Sports Science and Mathematics, followed by a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. She is currently completing her National Professional Qualification for Headship.
Rebecca has spent most of her teaching career in middle and senior leadership positions. Prior to moving to Qatar, she enjoyed success in the roles of Subject Leader and Assistant Headteacher. It was within these roles that her passion for leadership grew, founded in the desire to ensure the best possible outcomes and experiences for young people. In Qatar Rebecca has worked in both pastoral and academic leadership positions.
As Head of Secondary, her vision is to prepare our students for the future, fostering positive relationships, igniting passion and a love of learning. She is committed to developing the whole child by hoping to provide a wide range of outstanding opportunities to our students, that within and outside of the curriculum.
Rebecca enjoys playing netball, going to the gym, reading, and travelling. Much of her time outside of school is spent with her family and helping her own children fulfil their passions for sport and drama.
