Terry spent a majority of his years in New Zealand before deciding to accept an international leadership opportunity in Shanghai China, where he was the Principal for four years.

Terry holds a Bachelor of Education from Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand and has been leading a fruitful career in education for over 28 years. He started his profession teaching in a small country school in New Zealand and quickly progressed to posts in several outstanding private schools. Since 2005, he transitioned from a classroom teaching and other leadership roles, to Founding Principal of a private school in New Zealand.

As the Founding Principal for the Hamilton International School, he believes it is the school of choice and his duty to lead the strategic vision of the establishment. He is committed to ensuring Hamilton’s vision is at the forefront of everything the team will do; Igniting students Passion, Purpose and Potential, central in all they do and what they promise to do.

Terry enjoys going to the gym, playing squash, reading and travelling. He has a very supportive wife and three school-age children who love life and enjoy all the opportunities their new home in Doha has to offer.

Ian grew up in the North West of England and spent the majority of his life there, until he embarked on his international educational journey.

Ian successfully completed a BA Hons with QTS in the UK and spent the first 7 years of his career working in Merseyside. He was an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team that drove the school to become ‘Outstanding’. It was during this time Ian was able to experience the sheer value of teaching and learning as the driving force behind school improvement and raising standards, culminating in local and regional awards.

In 2014, Ian moved to Singapore to develop leadership experience internationally. His time in Singapore was extremely successful and was the Deputy Head of Primary for an established international school. He is very passionate about supporting teachers and children to be the very best they can be and has led numerous teaching and leadership training events.

Ian is an experienced school leader and joins The Hamilton International School as the Head of Elementary. He is enthusiastic about providing the very best learning opportunity for every child and aims to build outstanding relationships within the school and community.

Ian is joined by his wife Heather and one year old son, Jack. In his spare, time he enjoys sports, travelling and reading, but his main passion outside of education is cooking. He cannot wait to attempt to create his version of the local delicacies in Doha.

Chris was born in England but grew up in North Wales before attending the University of Sheffield and eventually settling in Cheshire, where he and his wife, Corrine, had two daughters, both of whom attend The Hamilton International School.

Chris has a BA (Hons) in Biblical Theology but has a wide range of work experience, including the charity sector, technical support, and sales. After several years working in the private sector, Chris was dissatisfied career-wise so he trained as a teacher and he hasn’t looked back once! He enjoyed success at his first school as a Head of Department, Head of Year, and being tasked with establishing a brand new subject in the school. Subsequently, Chris was appointed as Assistant Headteacher in Stockport for Key Stage 4 pastoral. After this, he and his family decided that they wanted to experience life abroad and in 2018 was appointed Deputy Head of Pastoral at a large International School in Doha.

Chris is passionate about education that reaches and teaches the whole child and is particularly keen to support teachers in training and in their early careers. He has been invited to speak to trainee teachers and mentored NQTs and RQTs. Chris also enjoys writing blogs on all aspects of teaching and educational leadership.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys spending time adventuring with his family and plays rugby for Doha Rugby Club. He also enjoys cycling and cooking.

Angela is a passionate Music Educator who spent the last eleven years teaching in prestigious schools in Portugal and recently Doha. Her music students have won national and international prizes in competitions such as the Qatar Music Competition and Strings Category (Violin).

Her students have always achieved great marks in ABRSM and GCSE Exams.

She holds a Masters Degree in Music Education, Violin Performance and Teaching Training from Aveiro University. She has conducted workshops about Suzuki’s Methodology, Rolland’s Strings Methodology and, most recently, El Sistema Methodology.

Angela started her music education at the age of 4, and at 11 years old, was accepted into the best Music School in Portugal - ARTAVE. She was the concert master at Aveiro University Orchestra and was invited to play with professional orchestras like Beiras Philarmonic Orchestra, Guimarães Orchestra and more. She has also performed in the best concert houses in Portugal, Europe and Asia as an orchestra and chamber music member.

She brings her passion for music to The Hamilton International School, ensuring every child experiences music in an empowering way.

Angela loves spending her free time exploring the world with her husband, researching, and caring about the world environment. She is also a foodie.

Alan Crean

Alan was born and raised in Ireland before starting his teaching career in the UK. He is a caring and understanding teacher who goes the extra mile for all of his students.

Alan is a qualified teacher in both math and PE and has taught both subjects for many years in England. He attended university in Ireland, trained in a several schools there, as well as, opting to study for 1 year in the US at the University of Michigan where he gained experience in the US curriculum.

Making math relatable to students is one of Alan’s main aims. He likes to have interesting activities, fun projects and real life problems integrated into his lessons to foster his students’ love of math. Don’t be surprised if Alan takes math outside of the classroom as he likes to challenge his students to investigate math problems around the school grounds which leads to physical activity and a high level of engagement in learning.

Alan is passionate about sport and, when he isn’t watching Manchester United, he is participating in sport. He loves Gaelic football and is a member of Qatar GAA here in Doha. He also enjoys scuba diving, reading and cooking.

Angeliki grew up in Greece before relocating to the United Kingdom to further her studies in the field of education.

She holds a BA in English Literature and Culture, and an MA in Education and Professional Studies from King’s College London. She is bilingual speaking both Greek and English. She has a passion for the process of teaching and learning and has worked in education since 2016. Since 2017, she has worked as a class teacher in Newton British Academy in Doha, where she had the pleasure of introducing and implementing an engaging teaching framework for writing in a multi-lingual learning environment.

Angeliki is enthusiastic about having a positive impact on pupil’s emotional, ethical, cognitive and academic development and empowering them as future citizens of any society and the world. She aspires to be involved with educational institutions which contribute culturally, socially and scientifically to the communities in which they belong.

Angeliki enjoys reading, painting, playing board games with friends, dancing and spending time with her family.

Caitlyn grew up in a small town outside Glasgow, surrounded with beautiful views of mountains, forests and lakes.

Caitlyn found her passion for teaching at a young age, when she was old enough to leave school, she completed a 2-year apprenticeship within an Early Years setting. She then explored further options within the Education sector by supporting young people who were having difficulty maintaining their education within mainstream schools. After graduating from university with BA Education and Social services, Caitlyn relocated to Qatar for a 3-year teaching stint.  Afterwards, Caitlyn enjoyed a sabbatical to return home to manage an Early Years setting and to educate young children in Koh Samui, Thailand.

Caitlyn is a very enthusiastic, positive and outgoing person. She prides herself in helping others, whether that be children, parents or siblings and she will always do her best to make sure everyone is happy. The first few years of a child’s education are critical, and she will make sure it is the most enjoyable, fun filled experience for each child in her care.

Caitlyn enjoys, reading, swimming, martial arts, long drives, music and spending time with friends and family.

Breegeen grew up in a small seaside town in County Donegal, Ireland before relocating to the UK to finish her Education. She holds a BA (QTS) Hons Degree with a specialisation in the Advanced Study of the Early Years from Liverpool Hope University, UK.

Breegeen has worked in education for over 12 years in a range of year groups and settings. She started her career as a 4th Grade teacher before gaining experience in an educational unit for children with severe & profound special needs, an extremely rewarding but challenging experience. She then spent 6 years teaching in the early year’s department before establishing an Early Intervention Preschool for children on the Autism Spectrum Disorder.

To date, she has spent most of her teaching career working with the youngest year groups and feels enthusiastic about giving the children in her care their very first experience of school life. Breegeen encourages her pupils to challenge themselves and, with gentle guidance, become the very best they can be.

Breegeen has completed a wealth of Continued Professional Development courses – more recently focusing on learning styles, positive behaviour strategies and communication techniques.

As parents to three young daughters, Breegeen and her husband Darren enjoy trips to the park, keeping active, reading and spending time together. She has also been involved in fundraisers, helping to raise money for a Cancer Charity.

Originally from the United Kingdom, Courtney gained her degree at Nottingham Trent University. During her studies, she completed a voluntary work placement within a school in Mexico. Following this successful experience, Courtney gained a position as a Team Leader at a Nursery back in the UK.

Courtney quickly realised in order to enhance her career that international teaching was her preferred route.

While gaining experience in Qatar, Courtney kept a close eye on the development of schools and saw an opportunity to join Hamilton and was intrigued to help build the successful learning environment that she believes Hamilton has to offer.

Courtney’s passion is to provide the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) and provide students with the best possible education. She has gained experience in a number of countries and prides herself in witnessing students achieve their educational and overall developmental goals, through all areas of learning.

Courtney enjoys travelling, water sports and looking after her dog, Milo.

Daniela was born in Canada and raised internationally by two Peruvian parents between the Middle East, New Zealand, Peru, and Canada.

Daniela holds a BA in Political Science and International Studies with a specialisation in Human Rights from the University of Alberta. She went on to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Nottingham, and is now specialising in Teaching English as a Foreign Language to Young Learners Overseas from the University of Toronto. She is a native English speaker, a bilingual Spanish speaker, advanced in French and Portuguese, and can communicate in basic Arabic.

She has worked in education for four years, beginning as an Early Years teaching assistant in Lima, Peru, and moving on to teach Year 1 and Year 2 in Qatar. She recently had the unique opportunity to develop new skills working in a corporate setting with HR professionals, helping with the development and implementation of employee initiatives that encouraged diversity and inclusion, professional and personal development, and workplace wellbeing.

Daniela is excited about making a difference, both to children’s learning experiences, and to school environments that wish to foster a sense of trust, collaboration, transparency, passion, and kindness, equally for parents and colleagues, as well as for students. She hopes she can add cultural and intellectual value to internationally-minded educational institutions that thrive under inclusive, engaging and forward-thinking leadership.

Jessica Rockwell

 Jessica was born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada. She wanted to be a teacher from the age of 5, so she worked to complete a BA while also gaining a TEFL certification to teach English as a second language in Barcelona. Upon graduating, she travelled to South Korea where she taught for a year. After heading back to Canada to earn her B.Ed in Primary Education, she relocated to Doha where she has been since 2016.

Jessica is passionate about getting to know her students each personally so that she can engage them by utilizing their individual interests. She loves to teach through telling stories, working hands-on with materials, and student-led exploration. Jessica’s goal with each new student she meets is to teach the whole person, to build up their growth mindset and see them reach not just academic goals but social and emotional goals as well.

Jessica spends her free time artistically doing photography, videography, fine arts, studying Spanish, or curled up with a good book.

Danielle Louise Sanniti

Danielle grew up in the East of England in a small market town called Waltham Abbey. In her youth, Danielle also spent a lot of time in Italy with her family. Before moving to Qatar, Danielle lived and taught in South East London, an area she loves and will always call home.

Danielle undertook a combined degree in Early Childhood Studies and Health Studies at Canterbury Christ Church University, Kent. Before deciding to work in Qatar, Danielle considered working in China, but decided it was too far away!

Danielle has always had a passion for child development and learning, and after working with children across South East Asia, she decided to undertake a PGCE specialising in Early Years in 2012.
She is currently working on her MA in Education: Culture, Language & Identity, and hopes to finish this over the next few years.

Danielle is particularly passionate about teaching children to read and write and supporting parents with home learning. Danielle has written articles for Nursery World Magazine and has also had some of these published in educational books. She is excited to work at The Hamilton International School and is excited for the journey ahead.

Fiona Dixon

Fiona grew up in Northern Ireland. She has a BSc in Psychology from Queens University, Belfast and a Primary Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Northumbria University, Newcastle.

Fiona started her career in Education as a Teaching Assistant, which sparked her interest in special educational needs. Pursuing her interest in special educational needs, she worked in roles to include an advisory teacher for children with Autism and a learning support teacher for children in mainstream schools. Since completing her Postgraduate Certificate in Education, she has worked as a class teacher for 7 years.

Fiona strives to ensure all children achieve their full potential. She is passionate about enabling children to become lifelong learners. She believes creating a challenging yet supportive learning environment which meets individual learning needs and providing creative and fun learning activities, helps children to become independent learners and thinkers and excites a passion for learning in children.

In her spare time Fiona enjoys keeping fit and leads an active lifestyle. She enjoys CrossFit and playing netball. She enjoys traveling to see different parts of the world and learning about different cultures.

Gemma grew up in Grimsby, in the North East of the United Kingdom before relocating to Liverpool to finish her education.

She holds a BA (Hons) in Primary Education from Liverpool John Moores University, UK. Whilst completing her degree, she specialized in Drama. She has always had a passion for teaching and has worked in education for nearly fifteen years. In 2010, she was selected to take part in and subsequently passed London Challenge’s ‘Outstanding Teacher’ program – she was one of only two teachers in The Royal Borough of Greenwich to be selected.

Gemma is enthusiastic about helping children become the best versions of themselves. She believes that children learn best when they are interested in their learning whilst doing so with a smile. Gemma prides herself on making every lesson she teaches stimulating, engaging and accessible to all the learners in her class.

She is an active individual who enjoys keeping busy. Her three children also contribute to this! Gemma strives to fill her time with personal enrichment opportunities that predominantly revolve around physical activity.

Jodie was born in Worcestershire, England. She graduated from the Manchester Metropolitan University, with a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science. She then completed her PGCE at the University of Sunderland, to enable her to fulfill her lifelong desire to become a teacher.

Jodie enjoys leading by example in the classroom and strives to be a strong, positive role model. She is dedicated to building relationships with her students that will help them to become the best that they can be, in all aspects of their lives. She believes that students are a unique lantern awaiting a spark to ignite their natural passion for learning. As an educator, she accepts it is her responsibility to spark the flame of knowledge that will illuminate their future.

She focuses on creating a warm, welcoming and safe environment, where each student can have the opportunity to experience success and progress. She loves to encourage her students to look beyond the four walls of the classroom and view the world around them as a place of learning and discovery. By doing this, she hopes to install in them the desire to become lifelong learners.

For the last eleven years, she has worked in an international school in Dubai, UAE, where she has taught General Science and IBDP Biology. Whilst in Dubai, Jodie organised several international school educational trips. These have included a NASA space camp trip in Huntsville, USA and a Disneyland Paris trip, France.

Jodie has a passion for travel and has been to over sixty countries. She loves to meet new people from all over the world, experiencing local foods and local cultures.

Jodie holds an excellent sporting background having once been a semi professional footballer in the UK. She has coached numerous football teams over the years and has had notable success in the UAE. In her previous school she coached both the girls football and rounder’s teams to become National League Champions.

Nia started her teaching career in the UK before moving to the Middle East. Over the last 16 years, she has taken on various management roles, including Director of Sport, Head of PE, IBDP coordinator, PSPE coordinator and CAS Coordinator with various educational establishments such as Queen Elizabeth School, William Hulme Grammar, Stockport Grammar, Nord Anglia, ACS and the Swiss International school.

Nia holds coaching qualifications in numerous sporting activities and supports the International Schools sports league here in Qatar, holding the position of Chairperson. Her passion in the teaching environment can be seen with the high engagement of her students in a fun yet challenging environment along with the dedication into an exciting extracurricular program.

Outside of work, she enjoys travelling to new places, meeting new people and playing netball. Nia is also fluent in Welsh.

Lucy is from the UK and has been a teacher for six years. She graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a BA Hons Degree in Print Journalism before completing her PGCE in Primary Education at Newman University.

 

After teaching for one year, Lucy moved to Singapore to a British International School. During her 5 years there, she taught in both Key Stages and was part of a range of committees contributing to whole school initiatives such as accompanying students on international trips to Thailand and Indonesia and supporting the marketing team by filming school events. She shared her passion for video editing with students, staff and parents alike in her role as Media Leader. 

 

Lucy’s hope is that all children in her class are happy, challenged, motivated, and will grow in independence, leaving with the confidence to fulfill their aspirations. She strongly believes that kindness, honesty and a sense of humor are essential qualities, and echoes this in her classroom. ‘Creativity is just intelligence having fun’ is a philosophy followed by Lucy, who strives to create a colourful, fun, safe and engaging environment. She encourages her children to embrace and learn from mistakes in order to build confidence, reach full potential and develop a growth mindset. 

 

Outside of school, Lucy is always eager to take any opportunity to broaden her experiences, challenging herself to try new sports and hobbies outside of her comfort zone. An avid traveler, Lucy is inspired by immersing herself in unfamiliar cultures… and documenting them with her GoPro!

Niamh grew up in Scotland before moving to a small, seaside town in rural Donegal, Ireland.

Niamh holds an honours degree in Bachelor of Education in primary teaching from Trinity College Dublin. Niamh is bilingual speaking both English and Irish fluently. She has always had a passion for Irish culture and plays different Irish traditional instruments. Niamh also had a keen interest in Irish dancing. She danced for 13 years and has been involved in teaching dance ever since. It was there she discovered her passion for teaching.

Niamh is passionate about teaching and about helping children become the best they can be; academically, socially and emotionally. She strives to inspire children to become enthusiastic lifelong learners by providing them with a safe, exciting classroom environment where they are engaged in learning opportunities. Niamh firmly believes in creating a learning environment where all children feel challenged, motivated and supported throughout the school day.

In her spare time Niamh enjoys playing GAA football, jogging and traveling.

Luke is from the United Kingdom and grew up just north of London in Essex.

Luke holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Lincoln, which he completed in 2014, before going on to gain his teaching qualifications soon after. A highlight of his career was being able to go back and teach at the same school he attended as a child and give back to the education system that helped him achieve his goals. Luke relocated to Qatar in 2017 and has enjoyed the fact that teaching has allowed him to travel the world. He loves working with children and strives to see every student do their very best. The passion for teaching within comes from witnessing a student’s progress from the start of the year to the end. Watching those who aren’t confident shine and supporting all his students along the way to achieve their absolute maximum, is extremely rewarding.

Luke loves staying active through sports like golf, football and kayaking. He is an animal lover and has two dogs back in England.

Nicola Buscher is from the United Kingdom and has been a primary school teacher and leader for 16 years. She holds a BA in Combined Studies from the University of Bradford, and an MA in International Education Leadership from the University of Leeds. Nicola has always had a passion for teaching and inspiring young people and throughout her career has taught across all age groups within the primary years.

In addition to class teaching, Nicola has also held positions of whole school responsibility including; Subject Leader, Head of Year, Deputy Head and Acting Head of Primary. Since 2008, Nicola has worked internationally in Portugal, Dubai and Qatar before returning to the UK to undertake her Masters Degree.

Nicola is enthusiastic about developing the skills of all pupils within the school and has worked with, and supported, parents and teachers on various aspects of teaching and learning. Through her delivery of professional development to staff and workshops and presentations to parents, Nicola is committed to enhancing children’s whole school experiences so that they can develop a lifelong love for learning.

As well as teaching and learning, Nicola’s other passion is health and fitness. She regularly attends the gym and runs not only for fun but also for charity. Spending time with her family doing outdoors activities such as cycling and hiking is her favorite pastime however, she wishes her 2 children were as keen on this as she is.

Amanda (Mandy) Grey

Mandy grew up in South Wales where she qualified as a teacher, with a BA (Hons) in Education, with an emphasis in Science. Though initially teaching in Welsh and English primary schools, she transitioned to older students while on an island off the coast of France. She later ventured across continents to teach first in Malaysia, and then in China.

More than twenty years as a teacher has not dulled her desire to be better at what she does, to improve her skills and update her knowledge, so that she strives to be the teacher her students deserve. She considers a career in education to be a privilege and is constantly exploring innovative, exciting and fun-filled ways to deliver curriculum, develop skills and encourage understanding.

She has always harboured a lifelong passion for the written word. As a child Mandy possessed a voracious appetite for books, and as an adult she loves storytelling enhanced by the pleasure of ‘treading the boards’. She considers writing to be an artform, the pen a tool which can be wielded with finesse, with practise and dedication.

Mandy enjoys travel, photography, art, cinema, cooking and … reading and writing.

Over the years Mandy has held several leadership positions within schools and is currently working towards an MA with Glyndŵr University.

Ross is from Galway, a small city on Ireland’s west coast.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Furniture Design and Manufacture from GMIT Letterfrack, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and another in Innovation Management from the National University of Ireland, Galway.

Ross is an internationally experienced teacher, having taught in Ireland, Wales, South Korea and Qatar. He has also held leadership positions in education, including Director of Studies with MLI International Schools. He believes his role in teaching is to effect change and make a difference by helping each student find their creative side. He aims to inspire all learners, especially those who may be taking their first tentative steps in design and technology by using a humanistic approach in his classroom. Ross promotes a collaborative and student-centered learning classroom culture, an encouraging environment for each student to challenge themselves and gain self-confidence. He believes it is important for young learners to develop their emotions, allowing for constructive criticism and self-reflecting without the fear of making mistakes.

Outside of the classroom, Ross is a committee member of both the Qatar Irish Society and Qatar Gaelic football club. His other interests include soccer, swimming, scuba diving, travelling and woodworking.

Megan is originally from the United Kingdom, growing up in London. Whilst studying in the city in Lancaster, she gained a BA Honours degree in Primary Education with QTS from the University of Cumbria.

It was following a successful experience volunteering for a charity in a disadvantaged school in South Africa, Megan realized that teaching was a career that she wished to follow. Through Megan’s love of Music and Dance she has been able to teach dance to young children and this further facilitated her love of teaching. She has since enjoyed sharing her enthusiasm for music and dance, in and outside of the classroom, to enhance learning opportunities with her own class and on a whole-school basis.

Megan has been teaching for 5 years. She started her career in an ‘Outstanding’ Primary School in North London and subsequently relocated to Qatar, teaching across both Key Stages. Nathan was born and raised in the small village of Bessbrook in Ireland.

Nathan holds a Bachelor of Education in Primary teaching with a specialization in Science from St Mary’s University College in Belfast. He is currently completing a Master’s in Education at the same university, with a specific focus on Educational Leadership.

Nathan taught in Ireland for 3 years before relocating to Qatar in 2016 to further his career. Upon arriving to Qatar, he worked as a Year 3 teacher in Newton British Academy for 4 years. During that time, he has enjoyed working with children from many different nationalities and cultures. He has led many diverse school activities such as ECA football, end of year concerts and reading and story club.

Nathan is passionate about teaching and learning. He believes that every child should have the opportunity to reach their full potential. He has developed a child-centered pedagogy, recognizing the importance of valuing each child as an individual and guiding them towards becoming an active member of the wider school community, and an active member of their community outside school.

Outside his role in the classroom, Nathan is passionate about sport and enjoys playing football in his spare time. He also enjoys playing the guitar, walking his dog and traveling the world.

Sam grew up on a farm in the rural parts of South West England, where he spent the majority of his life before making the move out to Qatar to teach Physical Education.

Sport has always been a huge part of Sam’s life, playing and competing in several sports throughout his education and further. He excelled most in tennis, competing at National and International level events and 1st team tennis at university. This passion for sport transferred into his studies, where he holds a BA in Sport and Social Sciences from the University of Bath, and undertaking his PGCE with QTS in Physical Education.

Sam is very passionate about helping every pupil to achieve their very best in every aspect of school life, both in and out of a sporting context. He believes that every child is unique, learns differently and has the potential to do great things. It’s about finding out what works for that child and helping them to grow over the course of their education and beyond.

As well as playing a lot of tennis in his spare time, Sam enjoys challenging himself in any way he can, recently completing an Ironman triathlon. Outside of playing sport, he likes to travel and enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

Zamzam grew up and studied in the United Kingdom before relocating to Qatar in 2013.

She holds a BA in Politics and International Relations, a certificate for teaching English to speakers of other languages (CELTA) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). She is bilingual, speaking both English and Arabic.

Zamzam has always had a passion for working with young people and making a difference. She started her career as a mentor for pre-teens, taking them on scouting trips to provide them with opportunities for personal growth through challenging and interesting activities. She then decided to take on the route of teaching English to speakers of other languages.

Her most rewarding moments come from hearing the excitement in her students’ voices and seeing the joy on their faces when they grasp a new concept, or skill.

In her spare time, Zamzam loves being outdoors, particularly exploring new hiking destinations. She enjoys playing badminton, reading, making jewelry and spending time with her friends and family.

Sarah was born and raised in Montréal, Canada before moving to Doha, Qatar to pursue her dream of international teaching. She grew up learning English, French, and Italian. She is currently trying to improve her Spanish speaking skills as well.

Sarah studied at McGill University where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Kindergarten and Elementary Education. She began her career in education by teaching English as a second language in Montréal. In 2015 Sarah relocated to Doha to pursue a teaching position in KG1 and has been here ever since.

At her previous school, Sarah was promoted to a Grade Level Leader position and also won the Teacher of the Month award. The majority of her teaching career has been in Early Years and Kindergarten, which she loves!

Sarah is passionate about learning through play and student-centered learning. She places importance on building relationships with her students, fostering curiosity about the world around them and encouraging them to strive for their goals. She works with her students to create a classroom community that is respectful, collaborative, hardworking and fun. Sarah is eager to learn and develop herself professionally and encourages her students to be lifelong learners as well.

She has worked in international schools as a class teacher and held several leadership positions, including Head of Year and English Coordinator.

Zara is enthusiastic about education, its current concerns and possibilities, including policies and practices being used around the world. She believes in creating an environment where children enjoy learning, become confident in who they are, believe in possibilities and dream big. She believes a growth mindset and strong relationships are key to educational success. Sarah has always had a passion for learning and is currently completing a certificate in Positive Psychology. Aida graduated from the Faculty of Education with a Bachelor’s degree in Education in Arabic language and social sciences. She is trilingual and speaks Arabic, French and English. At the start of her educational career, Aida was a volunteer to several schools and academies.

In September 2009, Aidabegan her career in Dubai as a teacher for native and non-native speakers.When she moved back to Lebanon, she had the opportunity to start a new assignment with the Ministry of Labor in cooperation with major social service organizations,doing research on critical cases related to human rights.

Aida to Qatar moved with her family in 2014 where she resumed her teaching career. During this time, Aida conducted Self and Team Development Workshops, as well as professional development programs in Arabic language teaching in a school context.

Aida has a genuine passion for and natural love of teaching; she endeavors to impact children’s lives and brings patience and joy to the classroom. In her free time, Aida enjoys cycling, swimming, cooking and spending time with her husband and her two lovely children.

Ryan is from Ballygawley, County Tyrone, a small village in the North of Ireland.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in History from Queens University Belfast, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education in Primary Education from the University of Cumbria in England, and a Masters degree in Management, from Queens University in Belfast.

Ryan has taught in Ireland, England and Qatar. He has also held leadership positions in education, including being the designated Safeguarding Officer in his previous school. He believes his role in teaching is to ensure children are continually motivated to make progress and help children make a positive contribution to society. He intends to inspire all learners, adapting his teaching style to ensure the individual needs of all learners are met. Ryan encourages a cooperative and student-focused learning classroom ethos, an inspiring environment for each student to extend themselves and increase self-confidence. Ryan wants those within his classroom to become global citizens who are understanding of the cultures of other children and work effectively with their peers inside and outside the classroom setting,

Miss Zara Bailey, Pre KGA classroom teacher, has been teaching for over eight years. She has taught in Doha for over a year and thoroughly enjoys teaching an international curriculum. She obtained a BA (Hons) in English and Creative writing in London and then became an international market manager for a company called Kaplan International Colleges. She worked with offices in Nigeria, India, China and Pakistan and recruited students to study at top UK universities. Then she qualified with a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) specializing in key stage 1 and early years from Roehampton University in London. She became a Director of Learning for key stage 2 in 2016 and moderated reading and writing expectations for the local authority. She was subject coordinator for Religious Education, philosophy for children, social moral spiritual and emotional education and British values. Outside of work, in the UK, she is a community activist and was the vice president and inclusions officer, for her National Union of Teachers in her local division. This involved submitting educational motions to the department of education and networking with various education- based agencies. Her main passion is education and travel.

Bayan was born in 1986 and grew up in Jordan before working in the United Arab Emirates and relocating to Qatar.

Bayan holds a BA in Arabic Linguistic from the University Zarqaa 2009 in Jordan with excellent degree. She is bilingual speaking both Arabic and English.
Bayan had worked in Amman for three years and in the United Arab Emirates for one year. Then she moved to Qatar as she has completed the fifth year in education as an Arabic and Islamic teacher.

Bayan has a passion for teaching, so she believes that all students can learn easily. She is an enthusiastic about helping and supporting students to become the best in their learning journey at an ISP schools. Linnet resided in Kenya and Germany before relocating to Canada where she completed her studies, earning a Business Management degree with specialization in Accounting from Concordia University of Edmonton. In addition, Linnet completed her CPA Canada studies.

In the last 10 years, Linnet has worked as an Accountant in various industries in Canada. Prior to joining Hamilton, she worked as the Corporate Accountant at Canoe Financials in Calgary.

Linnet has always possessed a passion for working with children.  This has been exemplified through her involvement in working with youth through various community engagement initiatives in Canada. She is extremely excited to be part of the Hamilton team which nurtures and fosters Amazing Learning.

Cesar teaches French and Spanish at Hamilton.

He was born in Poland, but also grew up in France, and has lived in North Wales in the UK.

Cesar holds a BA (Hons) and PGCE in French and Spanish, and a Masters in Education from the University of Chester in the UK. He also has Masters degrees in Music and Classics from Poland. In 2014, Cesar received the Queen of England's Award for his international charity work.

He speaks fluent Polish, English, French, Spanish and Czech, and is currently learning Italian and Arabic.

Cesar has always had a passion for music, languages, travelling and discovering other countries and their cultures. He started his career as an opera singer, and also plays the pipe organ and the violin.

Having travelled extensively, Cesar has seen the way languages open doors to other cultures and countries, giving one the opportunity to make new friends, broaden their horizons and discover the world. This, coupled with his general interest in modern languages and learning, spurred him on to study for a degree and then get into teaching. He wants to give that enjoyment, passion and fulfilment to his students.

Cesar likes working with young people because of their amazing potential. He believes that their minds are still open to new discoveries, and with the right stimulus and support, they soak up ideas like a sponge.

Deirdra grew up in county Waterford, Ireland, where she obtained a Masters Degree in Dance Performance from the University of Limerick. Her most recent qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education. Before coming to Qatar in 2019, Deirdra embraced her passion and travelled the world.

Deirdra's two main passions in life are to teach and to dance, over the years she has found a way to do both. Nurturing talent and bringing out the best in every child is something Deirdra strives for in her career. She believes it takes time to get to know a child in order to bring out the best in them and that you need to get to know their strengths and their weakness to push them forward for success. Witnessing a child reach a goal or milestone in their life is something Deirdra finds extremely rewarding.

Once a professional Irish Dancer, Deirdra has performed on many global platforms and for the past decade she has been sharing her traditional dance form with the younger generation, worldwide. As a dance teacher Deirdra has delivered master classes in various countries before taking over the Irish Dance school here in Qatar. Over the past 10 years, she has trained dancers in preparation of various international competitions. Recently Deirdra has had the privilege of teaching he first Qatar resident to qualify for the World Championships. Deirdra believes that determination, together with perseverance, coupled with a disciplined but caring teaching method is the way to achieve success, be it in sports, dance or academics.

Jocelyn started her career as a Kindergarten Volunteer Teacher in 2012. After volunteering, she thoroughly enjoyed working as a public school teacher in the Department of Education, Philippines for six years. Jocelyn relocated to Qatar in 2018 where she joined the Philippine School Doha as a preschool teacher. It was a gratifying challenge to manage the difference of abilities among the young learners and this experience further deepened her passion for educating junior students.

Jocelyn holds a BA in Elementary Education specialized in English and an MA in Educational Management from Andres Soriano Colleges of Bislig, Surigao del Sur, Philippines. To enhance her knowledge in teaching, and to cater the needs of the young learners, she also enrolled and earned units in her second MA in Early Childhood Education from Brokenshire College, Davao City Philippines.

Curious to learn more about children’s counseling services, Reenu subsequently earned a diploma in Guidance and Counseling from Indira Gandhi National University, India.

Reenu has a proven track record of 19 years at DES, Qatar, as a teaching assistant. During her tenure at DES, Reenu dedicated 15 years to EYFS where she thoroughly enjoyed witnessing the learning and development of children.

She started her career in Canada as a primary teacher and continues to work with various age groups. In 2017, Jennifer furthered her teaching experience in Qatar, where she was working at a private international school as a kindergarten teacher.

She has travelled to over 80 countries spanning 6 continents and has closely worked with over 120 nationalities. She has used this experience to build her arsenal of cultural intelligence.

Roua holds a master’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies from University Cattolica Del Sacro Cuore in Italy, and a BA in Political Science International Affairs from the Lebanese American University in Lebanon. She speaks fluent English, French and Arabic.

Roua has always had a passion for learning and has been working in education for the pastyear.She started her career with humanitarian work and enjoyed working in community service projects in Lebanon and Switzerland. She joined the United Nations in August 2016, where she was exposed to many nationalities, learning a lot during her experience abroad as well as helping refugees in Lebanon.

Roua was a member, secretary and a trainer in the Lebanese Red Cross- Youth Department. She offered Humanitarian Values Presentations to children from three to 16 years old, and also conducted educational and targeted activities to spread awareness among children.

Shehla studied Accounting and Finance at the London School of Economics and holds qualifications from the ACCA and ICSA in London, amongst others.

Yasmin’s passion for reading drove her to pursue careers related to literature such as a librarian, translator, editor, and tutor. She started her career by working at Qatar University, where she worked as a librarian for two years. Reem is a Palestinian who born and grew up in the State of Qatar and she completed her school education from primary until secondary school at schools of Qatar.

Reem holds a BA in the Arabic language from the college of education at Qatar University. She is bilingual speaking both Arabic and English. Reem has always had a passion for learning and has worked in education for nearly nineteen years. She started her career as a teacher of Arabic and Islamic studies for the early years, enjoying 6 years as a teacher. Then she has worked on the other side of education in coordinating Arabic language and Islamic studies curriculums of early years.

Reem is enthusiastic about helping students improve their academic performance and wants to support them to become the best versions of themselves, to better support parents and the children in their learning adventure at an ISP school. She has got training courses which improved her skills in her career. Furthermore, she has got a workshop in national school accreditation.

Reem enjoys reading scientific and religious books, swimming, walking along the seaside in the early morning, baking cake and spending time with her family.

Janelle, or Ella as she prefers to be called, is a native of the Philippines but has lived in different parts of the world. Before coming back to Qatar, she was working as an English Teacher in different local schools in Barcelona, Spain. She studied Interior Design in University, and has shown a penchant for the arts since childhood. She is fluent in three languages; Filipino, English and Spanish, and is currently learning Russian. Before leaving her country, she has established herself in the local theatre scene. She is a member of multiple organizations that teach underprivileged students in rural areas. Classically trained in Piano, she’s very enthusiastic about music, learning how to play the Ukulele as well two summers ago.

Ella loves collaborating with people, especially children. She found her calling in 2017 when she started working in a proper school setting here in Qatar, and since then she’s gone on to learn and do more to better herself in the field of education. For Ella, working with children is very rewarding. She finds the mind of a child one big canvass that’s very abstract and has all the potential to achieve greatness. Her ultimate goal in life is to build a school of her own with quality education in a non-traditional way.

In her spare time, Ella loves walking, playing her musical instruments and the occasional video games, spending time with her friends and family, and cooking.

A numbers cracker and balance sheet translator, Rana holds a business administration degree in economics from Beirut Arab University.

As a native Arabic speaker, francophone and excellent English communication skills, Rana has endless book options to read, being a book enthusiast.

A humanitarian volunteer, with an experience of caring and serving the people in need for medical care. Also worked professionally for the most esteemed medical institution in Lebanon for 3 years right after graduation, the Clemenceau Medical Center.

Rana seeks to stay up-to-date with the world’s digital solutions, whether in her field of work or solutions that are specifically involved with integrating students with an advanced learning experience.

Loves pets more than anything, dogs, cats and birds are her favs! Yet her family is above all, Rana has been married for almost 2 years, and dreams of a healthy and loving family.

He is a driven, organised and motivated Facilities Manager with work experience in managing facilities, general services, operations and personnel in the MENA and East Africa Regions.

He has expert knowledge of the various issues surrounding facilities: excelling in meeting end-user FM requirements; as well as preserving the facility image, by applying modern FM practices as the driving force behind his operational expertise.
He enjoys FIA - WRC motor sport and football. Phillip loves to spend time with his family and friends.

Thouraya enjoys working in schools, with parents and families. She is passionate about learning and believes that high quality international education is key to a better society. Her father is a school Principal, a passionate educator; therefore, she grew up to follow his lead!

Her professional experience spans over 20 years in the legal, wholesale distribution, local government and building sectors. While she found that she excelled in the wholesale distribution sector, she decided to focus on working in smaller, local businesses while bringing up her daughter in her younger years.

Katrina relocated with her family to Qatar over a year ago and is enjoying the unique cultural diversity that Doha has to offer. She looks forward to building relationships with colleagues and parents in her new role at Hamilton. Leilanie’s passion for teaching and working with children was ignited when she worked as an assistant teacher at a nursery, where she developed her skills in adaptability, mentoring,communication and teamwork.

Nj grew up in Nigeria where she completed her bachelor’s degree in agriculture, specializing in animal science from the University of Calabar, Nigeria. She started her career in the banking industry, working as a cashier for a year and the nine customer service for six years while volunteering as a teacher.

When she moved to Doha, Qatar, she decided to pursue her passion: teaching. She completed a Diploma in Pre and Primary Teacher Training and also an Advanced Teacher Training course. Since 2016, she has been working full time with children and as a volunteer teacher. Nj is excited to be part of the Hamilton team.

Nj is married and has two boys. She loves to sew, play table tennis, write poems and short stories, and spend time with her family.

She moved to Doha in XXX where she worked as an assistant teacher (kindergarten / upper reception) at Stafford International School, teaching children between four and six years of age in classroom settings of up to 35 students.

Her passion is to help and work with young children, developing and implementing activities that improve students’ learning and behavioral skills, as well as helping them to build confidence and resilience.

Shenelle enjoys open communication with parents and administrators regarding the growth and well-being of those under her care.
