Terry spent a majority of his years in New Zealand before deciding to accept an international leadership opportunity in Shanghai China, where he was the Principal for four years.

Terry holds a Bachelor of Education from Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand and has been leading a fruitful career in education for over 28 years. He started his profession teaching in a small country school in New Zealand and quickly progressed to posts in several outstanding private schools. Since 2005, he transitioned from a classroom teaching and other leadership roles, to Founding Principal of a private school in New Zealand.

As the Founding Principal for the Hamilton International School, he believes it is the school of choice and his duty to lead the strategic vision of the establishment. He is committed to ensuring Hamilton’s vision is at the forefront of everything the team will do; Igniting students Passion, Purpose and Potential, central in all they do and what they promise to do.

Terry enjoys going to the gym, playing squash, reading and travelling. He has a very supportive wife and three school-age children who love life and enjoy all the opportunities their new home in Doha has to offer.

Ian grew up in the North West of England and spent the majority of his life there, until he embarked on his international educational journey.

Ian successfully completed a BA Hons with QTS in the UK and spent the first 7 years of his career working in Merseyside. He was an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team that drove the school to become ‘Outstanding’. It was during this time Ian was able to experience the sheer value of teaching and learning as the driving force behind school improvement and raising standards, culminating in local and regional awards.

In 2014, Ian moved to Singapore to develop leadership experience internationally. His time in Singapore was extremely successful and was the Deputy Head of Primary for an established international school. He is very passionate about supporting teachers and children to be the very best they can be and has led numerous teaching and leadership training events.

Ian is an experienced school leader and joins The Hamilton International School as the Head of Elementary. He is enthusiastic about providing the very best learning opportunity for every child and aims to build outstanding relationships within the school and community.

Ian is joined by his wife Heather and one year old son, Jack. In his spare, time he enjoys sports, travelling and reading, but his main passion outside of education is cooking. He cannot wait to attempt to create his version of the local delicacies in Doha.

Rebecca Gough was born in England and has spent many years in teaching and leadership positions in the Midlands, before relocating to Qatar in 2012.

Having always been passionate about sport and math, Rebecca secured a place at Loughborough University and graduated with a BSc Joint Honours in Physical Education, Sports Science and Mathematics, followed by a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. She is currently completing her National Professional Qualification for Headship.

Rebecca has spent most of her teaching career in middle and senior leadership positions. Prior to moving to Qatar, she enjoyed success in the roles of Subject Leader and Assistant Headteacher. It was within these roles that her passion for leadership grew, founded in the desire to ensure the best possible outcomes and experiences for young people. In Qatar Rebecca has worked in both pastoral and academic leadership positions.

As Head of Secondary, her vision is to prepare our students for the future, fostering positive relationships, igniting passion and a love of learning. She is committed to developing the whole child by hoping to provide a wide range of outstanding opportunities to our students, that within and outside of the curriculum.

Rebecca enjoys playing netball, going to the gym, reading, and travelling. Much of her time outside of school is spent with her family and helping her own children fulfil their passions for sport and drama.

Breegeen grew up in a small seaside town in County Donegal, Ireland before relocating to the UK to finish her Education. She holds a BA (QTS) Hons Degree with a specialisation in the Advanced Study of the Early Years from Liverpool Hope University, UK.

Breegeen has worked in education for over 12 years in a range of year groups and settings. She started her career as a 4th Grade teacher before gaining experience in an educational unit for children with severe & profound special needs, an extremely rewarding but challenging experience. She then spent 6 years teaching in the early year’s department before establishing an Early Intervention Preschool for children on the Autism Spectrum Disorder.

To date, she has spent most of her teaching career working with the youngest year groups and feels enthusiastic about giving the children in her care their very first experience of school life. Breegeen encourages her pupils to challenge themselves and, with gentle guidance, become the very best they can be.

Breegeen has completed a wealth of Continued Professional Development courses – more recently focusing on learning styles, positive behaviour strategies and communication techniques.

As parents to three young daughters, Breegeen and her husband Darren enjoy trips to the park, keeping active, reading and spending time together. She has also been involved in fundraisers, helping to raise money for a Cancer Charity.

Kubeshni hails from Johannesburg, South Africa, and relocated to Qatar in 2018. She started her career 26 years ago as a Finance intern which developed into an impressive career in Finance. Kubeshni is a current CPA Australia member and holds a BCom degree with a specialization in Financial Management. In 2010 Kubeshni reached the pinnacle of her career as Finance Director at Capacity Outsourcing, a division of Adcorp Holdings, where she stayed for several years. In 2018 whilst holding the position of Group Finance Manager Shared Services, she was offered a position at The Blue Group, a Sports Retail giant in Qatar where she developed her Financial Management Skills further over the past 3 years.

Kubeshni gives gratitude for her impressive career to the spiritual path that she has followed for most of her life coupled with life coaching and self-development. She is inspired by mentors like Tony Robbins, Deepak Chopra, Abraham Hicks, just to name a few, who inspire her to be a better version of herself than yesterday, and even a better version of herself than she is today and the best version of herself than she is tomorrow. Her passion for self-development and the development of the large teams she has managed within the Finance departments is what motivates her to lead and mentor them to think out of the box and always reach for the stars.

Kubeshni loves to cook and has a flair for shopping for designer handbags and sneakers.

Thouraya enjoys working in schools, with parents and families. She is passionate about learning and believes that high quality international education is key to a better society.

Being enthusiastic about providing high quality HR services to an organization as well as staff members, she is a people-oriented person, helping her a great deal in her chosen field of work.

Amal was born and raised in Singapore before relocating to Qatar 10 years ago.

She has always had a passion to work in schools and enjoys interacting with children. She has worked in the education field for the past 14 years both in Singapore and Doha. Before joining The Hamilton International School, she worked as a Purchasing Officer in an international school for nine years and subsequently as an Executive Secretary to the Head of School.

Amal is currently taking on a third language, Arabic.

Mia has lived in Qatar for 16 years, having relocated from her home country Lebanon. She is married and has two daughters, aged 9 and 6.

Having more than 15+ years of relevant work experience and fluent in three languages, Mia holds a bachelor’s degree in business marketing and a master’s degree in international business. Known for her exceptional communication, time management and problem-solving skills, Mia handles a wide array of tasks with precision and discretion. Her international experience allows her to seamlessly bridge cultural gaps and enhance organizational effectiveness.

Since August 2019, Mia has held the position of Assistant Dean of Admissions at ACS International School Doha. In this role, she has maintained high standards of service delivery, cultural sensitivity, guided prospective students and families, coordinated with school management, and supported marketing efforts. Her contributions have significantly increased intercultural awareness and facilitated smoother transitions for families moving abroad, leading to a rise in school enrollments.

Mia is now set to join Hamilton International School as an Admissions and Marketing Manager. Her extensive experience and diverse skills will contribute to the school’s continued success and growth, ensuring a welcoming environment for families and further boosting enrollments.

In her personal time, Mia enjoys baking and testing new recipes, spending quality time with her family and engaging in community events.

Ms. Youssef was born in Amiens in France and moved to Lebanon at an early age.

She holds a master’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies from University Cattolica Del Sacro Cuore in Italy, and a BA in Political Science International Affairs from the Lebanese American University in Lebanon.

She speaks English, French and Arabic fluently.

Ms. Youssef has always had a passion for learning and has been working in education for the past years. She started her career with humanitarian work and enjoyed working in community service projects in Lebanon and Switzerland. She joined the United Nations in August 2016, where she was exposed to many nationalities, learning a lot during her experience abroad as well as helping refugees in Lebanon.

Ms. Youssef was a member, secretary and a trainer in the Lebanese Red Cross- Youth Department, she offered Humanitarian Values Presentations to three to sixteen years old children and conducted educational targeted activities to spread awareness among children.

Amrutha was born in Kerala in India, often referred to as “God’s Own Country.”  She is holding a Bachelor’s degree in nursing and a Fellowship in Neonatology. Over the past decade, she passionately dedicated herself to the nursing profession, initially at a Super Specialty Referral Hospital in India before embarking on a journey that led me to Qatar in 2018. Here, she worked as a neonatal nurse at WWRC within the Hamad Medical Corporation.

Ms. Amrutha career path then brought her to Starfish Lane Kids Nursery, a renowned Australian nursery in Qatar, where she garnered two years of invaluable experience. This made her come here to Hamilton, firmly believing in the pivotal role of school nurses in ensuring every child’s access to quality education, regardless of their health status. School nurses not only offer direct health services to students but also champion the well-being of the entire community.

She is so excited to get to know you and your little ones while making this school year a healthy and successful one. As the school nurse at Hamilton, she is honored to be part of a remarkable team that wholeheartedly supports your child’s success and well-being.

Mr. Rowland is from the North-East of England; he holds a BA in English Literature from the University of Northumbria and a PGCE in Primary Education from the University of Sunderland. He is passionate about inquiry-based learning that enables children to have autonomy and agency and builds on their natural curiosity to help them develop into creative, resilient learners.

Mr. Rowland is in his seventh year of teaching and has previously held the post of Assistant Head Teacher of Key Stage One. He also has experience across both key stages, having taught in both Year Six and Year Two. This amalgamation of experience has provided him with a much wider perspective of effective teaching and learning. Mr. Rowland was part of the Key Stage Two team that was named the national winner of the Pupil Premium Awards. He also led his previous school in being awarded the Primary Science Quality Mark to celebrate the whole school's impact on teaching and learning in science.

Calum enjoys Jiu-jitsu and golf. He also enjoys film, music, and exploring new and exciting countries.

Kathryn grew up in the North-East of England, where she studied and developed her passion for teaching and learning.

Kathryn holds a BSc in psychology from the University of Durham and a PGCE in Primary Education from the University of Sunderland. Kathryn has been a teacher for six years, in which she spent two years working as a KS2 assistant headteacher. She has a passion for developing the roles and skills of oracy throughout the curriculum and supporting students to make conceptual connections in their learning.

In Kathryn’s experience, she has been responsible for developing a conceptual and inquiry-based curriculum, to provide opportunities for children to be provoked and curious about the world around them. In addition to this, Kathryn was part of a primary team that achieved an outstanding OFSTED judgment in the UK. She is incredibly proud of this achievement and strives to ensure she continues to deliver a high standard of teaching, ensuring she continues to learn and develop her skills as an educator.

Kathryn is passionate about living a healthy lifestyle, practicing yoga and gym training in her free time. She also loves spending time in the kitchen, experimenting with new and exciting recipes.

Laura grew up on the West Coast of Ireland. She holds a B.Ed in Primary Education from Mary Immaculate College Ireland. Laura has been teaching in a range of different educational settings for 9 years and is particularly passionate about working with children with Special Needs. She has over 6 years of experience working and training in this field specifically.

Laura completed a Postgraduate Degree in Drama Education at Griffith College Dublin. Laura taught at the Pygmalion School of Drama in Dublin. She later moved to Kent where she worked as a Secondary Drama Teacher in the John Wallis Academy preparing students for their GCSE and A-Level Drama.

Laura then went on to work in Stewart’s Special Needs School in Dublin where she received extensive training in the TEACH program, PECS, and specific Autism training. Laura is a firm believer in a whole-child approach to education which focuses attention on the social, emotional, mental, physical as well as cognitive development of students. She is also passionate about inclusion and adapting teaching and learning to meet the needs of every child.
In 2017 Laura moved to Dubai and worked as a Special Needs Teacher in Kent College Dubai.

She also worked part-time for DRAMA SCENE Dubai. Laura has been very involved in teaching Acting and Public Speaking classes across different age groups and preparing students for their Annual LAMDA examinations.

Laura enjoys going to the theatre, playing golf, reading, and traveling to new countries.

Tamara grew up in the United Kingdom and spent her summers in Jordan before moving to Qatar towards the end of 2020.

She obtained both a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Child and Youth Studies from the University of Sussex, as well as a postgraduate degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) from Bangor University in the UK. Furthermore, Tamara is currently undertaking the Board Certified Behavioural Analysis (BCBA) qualification.

Tamara is an experienced behavioral psychologist and special education needs teacher as she has extensively worked with clients, both children and parents, in different settings including schools, homes, youth clubs, and clinics. She is passionate about applying her skillset in the classroom to assist children and their families who might be facing some form of special needs or difficulty. This includes behavioral or mental health challenges that prevent them from carrying out tasks independently, such as autism, ADHD, anxiety, and depression.

Tamara’s passion extends beyond the workplace, as she organized and managed the "Cadets" youth club for children with mental health and behavioral challenges in the UK. Tamara is also a TEDx Speaker where she used the platform to highlight how various behavioral psychology tools can be utilized in different aspects of our everyday lives. She also published a book journal, which guides the reader towards implementing step-by-step strategies for personal and emotional development.

Her hobbies include writing, yoga, netball, and spending time with friends and family.

Farhiya grew up and studied in the United Kingdom before moving to Qatar in 2018.

She graduated from the City University of London with a BSc in Speech and Language Therapy and from the University of Birmingham with a Postgraduate Certificate in Special Educational Needs and Autism.

She has had the opportunity to work with children that require support with speech, language, and communication. This was an excellent opportunity for her to adopt interventions and evidence-based practice to witness a significant improvement in the communication abilities of her students.

Farhiya is enthusiastic about working with students on the autistic spectrum. She recognizes that students on the autistic spectrum differ based on their intellectual capacity, the degree of their autism, personality, gender, culture, and other characteristics.

She is deeply committed to ensuring that every child can communicate. As a result, Farhiya has been able to train parents, teachers, and TAs in the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication techniques. She is inspired by the idea that everyone, whether verbal or nonverbal, should have a means of communication.

Farhiya aims to inspire your child to develop a love of learning and to pursue their interests, improving their quality of life.

Farhiya enjoys long walks and treks in her spare time, as well as traveling, swimming, and spending time with friends and family.

Imane strives to empower learners wherever they are in their path, illustrating the impact of providing strength-based positive learning experiences for every student. Imane has a special passion for supporting people with complex and special education needs; she worked as a teacher before completing an additional qualification in speech-language and hearing disorders. Imane has worked closely with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists and behavioural analysts to address the wide range of needs that her learners present. Her experience in caregiver-mediated intervention and parent coaching gives her special insight into supporting parents alongside their children. She also has experience supporting learners of various ages academically while paying acute attention to the role of executive functioning - building skills like flexibility, planning and self-regulation.

Imane is a lover of the outdoors and all things sustainability, recently completing a certification in Permaculture Design. In her lifelong commitment to learning, Imane's next objective is horseback riding!

Isabell grew up in the" Jacaranda City" - Pretoria, South Africa. She has a passion for teaching and
has been working in education for more than 16 years. Isabell graduated from the University of
Pretoria with a B.Ed. specializing in Early Childhood Development and the Foundation Phase. Upon
graduating Isabell immediately took on her first challenge in the role of Head Teacher. She quickly
grew her experience in a more direct role as a primary teacher in Pretoria. In 2013, Isabell moved to
the Middle East and has spent the last eleven years here in Qatar, holding positions of EYFS,
Primary Teacher and as Team leader.

Having recently joined Hamilton International School, Isabell is keen to use her considerable
experience to ensure the best possible educational experience for the young learners. She is an
engaging teacher with a history of increasing classroom participation through positive
encouragement. Isabell is very enthusiastic about supporting students through EYFS and KS 1 as
they begin their educational journey. This passion develops strong literacy, numeracy, social and
emotional skills amongst the children. Skills that they will utilize well into adult life.

She believes that teachers, in partnership with parents, help children to reach their potential. Their
success is achieved by giving them guidance and steppingstones to explore and learn in a safe and
nurturing environment.

Muna grew up in London. She holds a BA in Primary Education from Kingston
University and has worked in education for over 12 years.

Muna is an experienced teacher and has previously taught across different year
groups and educational settings. Over her teaching career, she found a passion
for supporting children with significant needs and pursued a career in Special
Needs. Muna has been fortunate to teach a diverse group of children, including
those with ADHD, ASD and dyslexia.

Muna’s passion for teaching stems from the personal satisfaction she obtains
when students begin to believe in their capabilities and understand that they too
can achieve when they are faced with difficult tasks. She believes that every child
should have the opportunity to reach their full potential. In the classroom, Muna
adopts a child-centred approach where the learning starts from the children's
needs and interests. She strives to find innovative and creative ways to deliver
curriculum so that children can become lifelong learners.

Muna has a passion for travelling. She enjoys embracing and learning about
different cultures in different parts of the world. She also enjoys baking, reading

Suria Thomson, from a small town in the Western Cape, South Africa,
brings a wealth of experience and passion for education to our school.
With a Bachelor’s in Education within the Intermediate and Senior
Phase (Major in Performing Arts and Science) and an Honours degree
in Inclusive Education, Suria’s teaching journey is marked by a
dedication to fostering a love of reading, curiosity and supporting
diverse learning needs.

Suria has spent the last nine years teaching in Doha, honing her skills
in small-group instruction and homeroom teaching. Her research
during her Honours degree focused on reading development, a
cornerstone of her teaching philosophy. She is well-versed in various
reading programs, including Joyful Phonics, Lucy Calkins Reading
and Writing Programs, and Fountas & Pinnell Phonics, Spelling, and
Word Study System. Suria has worked with curricula from British
Columbia to Common Core and has a strong IB background.She
possesses deep knowledge of the content she teaches and her
students’ needs and learning styles, allowing her to tailor her lessons
effectively.

A passionate advocate for students’ social and emotional well-being,
Suria believes that happy children are the best learners. She has
completed training in this area and integrates these principles into her
classroom. With experience within leadership roles and homeroom
teaching, Suria has demonstrated exceptional skill set and is excited
to bring her knowledge to our inclusive department.

Outside the classroom, Suria is a devoted mother to her five-year-old
son, who will also join our school community. She enjoys
photography, horse riding, and spending quality time with her family.
Suria’s multifaceted approach to education, combined with her
personal interests, makes her a valuable addition to our school.

J’Aimee (Jem) grew up in the United Kingdom before relocating to Canada to complete her
education.

Jem holds a B.Arts in Communication Studies and a B.Ed in Primary/Junior Education from the
University of Windsor, Canada. This strong academic foundation has fueled her teaching
career, encompassing a diverse range of educational settings. She has taught in South Korea,
Canada, Kuwait and now Qatar.

Jem has spent 10+ years enriching the lives of students in both mainstream and special
education settings within Kuwait. Her passion lies in working with children with SEN. She was
recognised as the Teacher of the year by the Kuwait Association for Learning Difficulties (KALD)
in Special Education. For over 9 years, she has honed her skills in this field, applying them in
various roles. Jem also completed her NPQ in Senior Leadership.

Beyond academics, Jem embodies an outgoing and supportive spirit. She passionately helps
students reach their full potential and become the best versions of themselves. She has
obtained additional certifications from the University of Windsor in Special Education, further
solidifying her expertise. Additionally, she has undergone specialised training in Autism, ADHD,
and Dyslexia, ensuring she can effectively support students with a wide range of learning
needs.

Jem enjoys walking, travelling the world and seeking new experiences and is always open for
new adventures. She is a true foodie with a sweet tooth, especially for mangoes!

Tomos is a passionate teacher, who holds a holistic view to education.
Tomos grew up in Chester, United Kingdom. He achieved First Class Honours in
Psychology at Bangor University before completing a School's Direct Course in his
hometown, Chester.

With a goal of teaching internationally, following the competition of his teaching degree,
Tomos relocated to Doha, Qatar.

Tomos began his career as a Year 5 class teacher and went on to be Maths Leader for
Primary, Year Group Leader of Year 6 and in his most recent role, he was Assistant Head
teacher for Year 3 & 4, which he held for two years.

Tomos strives to create an engaging classroom, filled with exploration and problem
solving. Whilst Tomos views the academic success of his students of great importance, for
him, education is about preparing his learners for their future - placing an onus on
developing them socially and emotionally as well as academically.

In his personal time, Tomos enjoys keeping fit, the principles of a healthy, wholesome
lifestyle as well as creative ventures, such as painting - past times that he likes to draw up
on within his practice. Tomos' personal priorities have shifted in the past year, when he was
fortunate enough to have a son and shares the joys that having a child brings

Hafsa is a diligent teacher with a love for learning and is from Birmingham in
the UK. Her love for teaching began whilst working on an international
development programme in Peru, and she hasn’t looked back since. She
returned to study at university in Manchester, and when she moved back to
Birmingham, she worked as a teaching assistant. The school recognised her
potential to teach and encouraged her to complete her teacher training,
which she thoroughly enjoyed. She is particularly passionate about teaching
reading and supporting second language English learners, inspiring her
student to embrace their own love for reading.

Hafsa worked as a Graduate Examiner for SAT Reading papers: this training
contributed to her development substantially as it enabled her to better
understand reading pedagogy and exam processes, which furthered her
ability to supported children with higher order thinking. Hafsa embraces
purposeful teaching; encouraging children to discover which learning style
they are suited to so that they can continue to support themselves on their
learning journeys. Being inquisitive by nature, Hafsa is continuously
researching human behaviours.

Three years ago, Hafsa moved to Qatar with her husband, to raise their two
sons and support the family with an international move, and she has been
enjoying living in the desert, and near the sea.

In her spare time, Hafsa enjoys crocheting, reading, spotting birds, cooking
and eating good food with her family.

Ms. AlJaibat was born in Jordan, grew up in Qatar before relocating to Jordan to finish her education. She holds a BA in English Language and Literature and a master’s degree in Linguistics, Zarqa University, Jordan. She found her passion and interest in linguistics as the language teacher may be an expert linguist with a deep understanding of how languages are learnt, and therefore the strategies to be used to support this.

Ms. AlJaibat is bilingual speaking both Arabic and English. She has always had a passion for learning. she regularly attends professional development workshops and conferences and has completed the internationally recognized CELTA course by Cambridge Assessment - UK, for teachers of English as a foreign language.

Ms. AlJaibat is a certified, flexible and an enthusiastic EAL educator that can deliver a broad range curriculum to meet learner outcomes. Highly qualified and experienced in Higher and Primary Education, ESL/EAL/ TEFL contexts with over 3 years of experience working with a variety of pupils with different cultures and backgrounds in international schools in Jordan, Qatar and online through Jordanian TV. She enjoys creating an inspiring yet motivational classroom environment for them. In her classroom, students make connections between themselves, their peers and the world along with students practicing their grammar, writing, phonics, communication and improve their reading and comprehension skills, preparing them to boost their confidence in the classrooms and supporting their learning and study skills.

Nathan was born and raised in the small village of Bessbrook in Ireland.

Nathan holds a Bachelor of Education in Primary teaching with a specialization in Science from St Mary’s University College in Belfast. He is currently completing a Master’s in Education at the same university, with a specific focus on Educational Leadership.

Nathan taught in Ireland for 3 years before relocating to Qatar in 2016 to further his career. Upon arriving to Qatar, he worked as a Year 3 teacher in Newton British Academy for 4 years. During that time, he has enjoyed working with children from many different nationalities and cultures. He has led many diverse school activities such as ECA football, end of year concerts and reading and story club.

Nathan is passionate about teaching and learning. He believes that every child should have the opportunity to reach their full potential. He has developed a child-centered pedagogy, recognizing the importance of valuing each child as an individual and guiding them towards becoming an active member of the wider school community, and an active member of their community outside school.

Outside his role in the classroom, Nathan is passionate about sport and enjoys playing football in his spare time. He also enjoys playing the guitar, walking his dog and traveling the world.

Jonathan is a dedicated and passionate teacher from the United Kingdom. He grew up
in Birmingham before studying at the University of Hull and Birmingham City University.
He has been living in Qatar for the last three years and loves the Middle East,
particularly it’s culture, climate and museums.

Jonathan qualified as a primary teacher in 2012 and has a wealth of experience
teaching from Grade 1 to Grade 5. He has a particular interest in teaching mathematics
and mathematics pedagogy. Following this interest, he later qualified as a Specialist
Primary Mathematics Teacher in 2015 and has led mathematics and computing at
schools in the UK. He has also worked as an examiner for Pearson, responsible for End
of Primary (Key Stage 2) SATs.

More recently, Jonathan has worked as a middle leader at schools in the UK and Qatar,
and has experience of leading Grades 1, 2, 4 and 5.

Outside of school, Jonathan spends his time with his wife and two sons, who also
attend The Hamilton International School. In Qatar, he likes to relax by spending times
in the outdoors, particularly the parks, beaches and mangroves. When in the UK, he
enjoys long walks in the countryside and visiting the seaside. He also loves to travel and
has embarked on several backpacking adventures around Europe, Southeast Asia and
The Americas.

She wanted to be a teacher from the age of 5, so she worked to complete a BA while also gaining a TEFL certification to teach English as a second language in Barcelona. Upon graduating, she travelled to South Korea where she taught for a year. After heading back to Canada to earn her B.Ed in Primary Education, she relocated to Doha where she has been since 2016.

Jessica is passionate about getting to know her students each personally so that she can engage them by utilizing their individual interests. She loves to teach through telling stories, working hands-on with materials, and student-led exploration. Jessica’s goal with each new student she meets is to teach the whole person, to build up their growth mindset and see them reach not just academic goals but social and emotional goals as well.

Jessica spends her free time artistically doing photography, videography, fine arts, studying Spanish, or curled up with a good book.

Meral's philosophy of teaching is that children are unique, and she
strives to find strategies that stimulate all of her learners. Her desire
is to create an environment where all of her students can meet their
full potential.

At a young age, Meral was a youth representative where she was
elected by over two thousand people for Hackney. Here she
supported her community, writing for magazines and attaining
funding for development projects in her area. Her passion for
Teaching began when she taught folk dance to children in her
community, who then went on to win regionally.

Meral completed her CELTA (Certificate in English Language
Teaching to Adults) and Masters in Education, and with a desire to
support learners internationally, Meral travelled to Saudi Arabia,
where she taught in both Riyadh and Jeddah.

Meral then returned to the UK where she completed her PGCE and
went on to teach at an outstanding school in her borough.

After four years, Meral discovered the joys of teaching in Doha,
working in Year 6 for six years. During this time, Meral took on the
Computing Leader role, where she could have an impact on more
than just her class.

Through her creative and engaging approaches, Meral ensures that
learning becomes an intrinsic part of her students.

Rebecca hails from the picturesque Northwest of England, just outside Manchester. She earned her
BA Hons in Travel and Tourism Management from Northumbria University. Initially, she embarked on
a career in the Business Travel industry, spending six years as a trainee management accountant.
However, her passion for education led her to a career change, and she completed her PGCE in
2018 and her NQT year in 2019 in the UK.

In 2019, Rebecca embraced a new adventure, relocating to Doha, Qatar. She is dedicated to
promoting creativity and a spirit of risk-taking in her students, believing that these qualities are
essential for their growth and development. Rebecca is passionate about creating an engaging and
supportive classroom environment where students feel confident to explore and express their
ideas. She continually seeks innovative teaching methods to inspire her students and help them

Leon grew up in London where he gained his BSc Honours in Business Management & Early
Childhood Studies. His passion for teaching and learning has always driven him to inspire the
next generation of learners, both inside and outside the classroom. Leon began his teaching
career in 2012 and made the exciting decision to relocate internationally to Qatar in 2016a
move he has cherished every day.

Leon has completed his Masters in International Education and National Professional
Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) continually seeking to enhance his skills and
knowledge to provide the best educational experiences for his students.

As the Assistant Head of Middle School, Leon’s primary goal is to ensure learner’s are enthused
and engaged in purposeful learning experiences, fostering their development into globally

Outside the classroom, Leon enjoys staying active by going to the gym and watching Formula 1.
He also loves travelling with his family and indulging in his culinary passions, often spending

Alan was born and raised in Ireland before starting his teaching career in the UK. He is a caring and understanding teacher who goes the extra mile for all of his students.

Alan is a qualified teacher in both math and PE and has taught both subjects for many years in England. He attended university in Ireland, trained in a several schools there, as well as, opting to study for 1 year in the US at the University of Michigan where he gained experience in the US curriculum.

Making math relatable to students is one of Alan’s main aims. He likes to have interesting activities, fun projects and real life problems integrated into his lessons to foster his students’ love of math. Don’t be surprised if Alan takes math outside of the classroom as he likes to challenge his students to investigate math problems around the school grounds which leads to physical activity and a high level of engagement in learning.

Alan is passionate about sport and, when he isn’t watching Manchester United, he is participating in sport. He loves Gaelic football and is a member of Qatar GAA here in Doha. He also enjoys scuba diving, reading and cooking.

education and recruitment, Corrinne has spent the last 8 years at Cardiff Metropolitan
University (UK) where she combined her expertise in career development and work
placements, with a deep commitment to student wellbeing.

Born and raised in the UK, Corrinne began her journey in the field of education with a
bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Education Studies from UWIC (University of Wales
Institute, Cardiff), where she developed a keen interest in working with students to help
them pursue their interests and reach their highest potential. She furthered her studies with
a postgraduate qualification in Careers Education, Information and Guidance in Higher
Education at Warwick University, which solidified her passion for helping students navigate

Ms. Idriss grew up in Toronto, Ontario. She is a bilingual speaker of English and Arabic.

 

She has always had a passion for the language arts. This led her to pursue her education and obtain a BA in English Language as well as a teaching diploma but she found her place in the education field long before that.

 

Ms. Idriss taught EFL for over five years to diverse learners using the English language exclusively. During this time, she worked with learners of diverse backgrounds, ages, needs and interests. After obtaining her degree, Sarah taught IB English Language and Literature and Theory of Knowledge. She also served as a CAS advisor, guiding students in their journeys to develop a wide variety of skills through experience.

 

She strongly believes that learning starts with fostering a safe learning environment where students are motivated and excited to learn. She loves to create fun and stimulating activities and projects to facilitate student learning. She is very passionate about engaging students in using 21st century skills such as critical thinking, communication and creativity. Her aim is to make English an interesting and relatable subject for all learners.

Kayleigh grew up in a small town near Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.

Kayleigh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Further Education and Training where she majored in Biology and Mathematical Literacy. She is bilingual speaking both English and Afrikaans. She has an innate affinity for languages and is currently developing her proficiency in Arabic as she continues her journey in Qatar.

Kayleigh has started her teaching career in South Africa before she relocated to Qatar in 2017. Her wealth of experience developed over six years of teaching has seen her facilitate different subject areas including Sciences, Environmental Management, and Mathematics. Kayleigh would describe herself as someone that can adapt easily to most environments as she enjoys interacting with people, building relationships with her students, and finding new ways to adapt her teaching strategies to facilitate her learners.

Kayleigh has had the opportunity to serve as a Head of Year for two years consecutively. This has taught her that no challenge is too big and that no sailor learned how to sail in calm seas. However, it was a privilege to see the success of her students and hopes that they will remember her words of wisdom.

from building simple machines to conducting unique experiments that go beyond

Mr. Alan is also a passionate advocate for STEM education, particularly robotics. He leads

various competitions, earning accolades for their innovative designs and teamwork.

Fatine grew up in Morocco, which is a Francophone country, and speaks fluent French, English, and Arabic.

Fatine Laasri is a passionate senior French teacher with over 15 years of experience. She holds a master’s degree in French Didactic and Interculturalism as well as having enrolled in a range of diverse specific training in teaching and education to enhance her teaching skills. Being a multilingual person raised in a multicultural environment, she has a passion for working with and can empathize with students from very different backgrounds and go beyond cultural and language barriers.

Since 2008, she has cumulated an extensive variety of experience in teaching the French language in different institutions such as the French Institute, Qatar University, and Qatar International School. In addition, she has occupied the position of Student Support Coordinator at the Foundation Program in Qatar University and worked closely with students giving them support and guidance in their careers.

Fatine is a keen teacher who enjoys new technology in her lessons to engage students actively in their learning and organizes an after-school French club to help pupils who want some support and encouragement to achieve the best standard of their work and build their confidence and enjoyment of the language.

In her free time outside of school, she enjoys reading, walking, and spending time with her family trying the succulent dishes of Moroccan cuisine, known for its diverse culinary tastes. She is an avid cat lover and loves to feed strays cats.

William grew up in rural Wales before earning a BA and MA in politics and history. Following this he spent
time in France working with young children where his passion for teaching was ignited. Upon returning to the
UK, he relocated to London and completed his teacher training at University College London through the
Teach First programme.

After several successful years teaching in London, William moved to the Bahamas to lead the History
Department at an international school, before finally moving to Qatar. He is deeply committed to ensuring
every student in his class succeeds, striving to make the humanities engaging and relevant by fostering
critical thinking and connecting topics to contemporary issues. Whether organising Anglo-Saxon shield wall
simulations in the playground or prompting discussions on the extent to which recent events are mirroring
historical patterns, William enjoys making learning interactive and thought-provoking.

Outside of teaching, William is an avid reader and traveller. He is passionate about volunteering, with
experiences ranging from animal shelters to charity work in Ghana, where he helped provide free teacher
training in low-income communities. He enjoys staying active through hiking, running, football, rugby, and

Ross is from Galway, a small city on Ireland’s west coast.

Ross is an internationally experienced teacher, having taught in Ireland, Wales, South Korea and Qatar. He has also held leadership positions in education, including Director of Studies with MLI International Schools. He believes his role in teaching is to effect change and make a difference by helping each student find their creative side. He aims to inspire all learners, especially those who may be taking their first tentative steps in design and technology by using a humanistic approach in his classroom. Ross promotes a collaborative and student-centered learning classroom culture, an encouraging environment for each student to challenge themselves and gain self-confidence. He believes it is important for young learners to develop their emotions, allowing for constructive criticism and self-reflecting without the fear of making mistakes.

Outside of the classroom, Ross is a committee member of both the Qatar Irish Society and Qatar Gaelic football club. His other interests include soccer, swimming, scuba diving, travelling and woodworking.

Remy grew up in France and, after completing university, decided to embark on a teaching career in the UK.
This journey eventually led him to Qatar, where he has continued to develop his professional career. Remy
has taught in the France, the UK, Switzerland, and Qatar.

Remy holds a Bachelor Degree in Musicology from the Université de Bourgogne and a Diplô
me d'Études
Musicales (DEM) in performing the saxophone from the French conservatoire, which is equivalent to the
Fellowship of the Royal Schools of Music (FRSM). Additionally, he has earned a Gold Medal in Music Theory
from the Paris Conservatoire and the Diploma of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music
(DipABRSM) in performance.

Throughout his life, Remy has been deeply involved in the music scene wherever he lived. He has been a
member of various wind bands, ensembles (including quartets and octets), and has performed with both cover
bands and original bands. His musical journey has been marked by notable performances, including playing at
the 1st Qatar F1 Grand Prix, the MotoGP, and the FIFA World Cup.

Remy is bilingual in French and English, which gives him a profound understanding of the challenges faced by
English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners. This empathy is one of the reasons he finds Qatar such an
incredible place to work. He has been a dedicated teacher since 2006 and has always been actively involved
in school shows. Alongside his colleagues, he has produced and participated in major productions such as
Beauty and the Beast, Les Mis
érables, We Will Rock You, High School Musical, the Wizard of Oz here at
Hamilton amongst many more. Remy enjoys sharing his passion for performing with his students, fostering
their confidence to perform in front of their peers and the general public. and also inspiring their sense of
curiosity and open-mindedness. Remy believes that Music, and more generally speaking the Arts are a very
good medium for students to ignite a passion, to discover their purpose, and to realise their potential.

In his spare time, Remy enjoys playing music of course, but also reading graphic novels, playing video games,
learning about cinema, and exploring different countries and cultures. As a French native, he has a great
appreciation for good food from all around the world.
