Ms. Mai Suleiman Hamdan is an educator at Hamilton School, where she currently teaches Islamic Education to students from 6th to 12th grade and Qatari History from 6th to 9th grade. Having lived in Qatar for 16 years, Ms. Suleiman has developed a deep connection with the culture and community.
Ms. Suleiman’s journey into teaching began with a deep passion for education and a commitment to fostering a love for learning in her students. Her goal is to build an aware and ambitious generation that strives to construct a civilized society that accepts others. She employs storytelling, interactive activities, and discussions to make lessons engaging and relatable, connecting the principles of Islam and Qatar’s rich history to everyday life.
One of Ms. Suleiman’s proudest career achievements is her role in developing and implementing a new curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking and cultural understanding. She is passionate about creating a classroom environment where students feel valued and inspired to explore their heritage.
Ms. Suleiman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fundamentals of Religion from Jordan. To further enhance her teaching skills, she has pursued numerous professional development courses, including international workshops on personal development and interpersonal skills.
In her spare time, Ms. Suleiman enjoys reading historical novels, exploring Qatar’s cultural sites, and spending quality time with her family. Her dedication to education and her community continues to inspire her students and colleagues alike.
