He has also held leadership positions in education, including Director of Studies with MLI International Schools. He believes his role in teaching is to effect change and make a difference by helping each student find their creative side. He aims to inspire all learners, especially those who may be taking their first tentative steps in design and technology by using a humanistic approach in his classroom. Ross promotes a collaborative and student-centered learning classroom culture, an encouraging environment for each student to challenge themselves and gain self-confidence. He believes it is important for young learners to develop their emotions, allowing for constructive criticism and self-reflecting without the fear of making mistakes.
Outside of the classroom, Ross is a committee member of both the Qatar Irish Society and Qatar Gaelic football club. His other interests include soccer, swimming, scuba diving, travelling and woodworking.
