The Hamilton International School (“Hamilton”), a brand-new school located in Mesaimeer, Doha, welcomed its very first intake of elementary students for the new academic year on Sunday 25th August 2019.
Eager students and parents were received by the highest calibre of teachers in Doha, who showed them around the school, and conducted orientation and introductory sessions. The school’s management team was on a mission to ensure that each child finds their class and settle in smoothly.
The new students got a chance to enjoy Hamilton’s state of the art facilities, featuring the largest school theatre in Doha, indoor sports centre, full-sized basketball court, two swimming pools, tennis courts, dance studios, fitness centre and a seating area for large sporting events. For cooler months of the year, the students will be able to use the outdoor sports area, which includes a professional standard football pitch and an athletics track. The school building was constructed by Danat Qatar, one of Qatar’s leading premium real estate developers owned by Mr Ali Al Fardan of Al Fardan Group.
Terry Senior, Principal of Hamilton said: “Our team has been working all year to build a world-class structure and secure all the government licenses and approvals on time. This is the day we have been preparing for and I am excited to see all these exceptionally wonderful students kicking off their new academic year with us. It is going to be an incredible year, as we embark on this journey together towards nurturing a generation that has passion for learning, realises its limitless potential, and appreciates diversity.”
