Breegeen grew up in a small seaside town in County Donegal, Ireland before relocating to the UK to finish her Education. She holds a BA (QTS) Hons Degree with a specialisation in the Advanced Study of the Early Years from Liverpool Hope University, UK.
Breegeen has worked in education for over 12 years in a range of year groups and settings. She started her career as a 4th Grade teacher before gaining experience in an educational unit for children with severe & profound special needs, an extremely rewarding but challenging experience. She then spent 6 years teaching in the early year’s department before establishing an Early Intervention Preschool for children on the Autism Spectrum Disorder.
To date, she has spent most of her teaching career working with the youngest year groups and feels enthusiastic about giving the children in her care their very first experience of school life. Breegeen encourages her pupils to challenge themselves and, with gentle guidance, become the very best they can be.
Breegeen has completed a wealth of Continued Professional Development courses – more recently focusing on learning styles, positive behaviour strategies and communication techniques.
As parents to three young daughters, Breegeen and her husband Darren enjoy trips to the park, keeping active, reading and spending time together. She has also been involved in fundraisers, helping to raise money for a Cancer Charity.
